The temperature sensor of the food thermometer TLC 1598 is incorporated in the tip of the insertion probe. Due to the insertion probe at least 3 cm. by inserting it into the product to be measured, the temperature is measured extremely accurately. However, it is impossible to measure the surface temperature with the insertion probe. After completing the measurement, it is necessary to clean the TLC1598 food thermometer with probe cleaning wipes (see order number 69.1334) to prevent cross-contamination.

When the temperature of refrigerators and warming cabinets needs to be checked, it is advisable to use a bottle of alcohol with a pierce cap (Order No. 69.1337). The vial serves as an aid in measuring the temperature. Contamination can occur when measuring the temperature in the product. Instead of measuring the temperature in the product, the temperature in the alcohol can be measured.
