Especially when the product to be measured is still in its packaging, it is recommended to use a food thermometer with an insertion probe. This will ensure more accurate measurement results. The temperature sensor is integrated into the tip of the insertion probe. This is how the temperature is measured. Ensure that one-third of the probe is immersed in the product to be measured. Before completing the measurement, the displayed temperature must be stable. After completing the measurement, it is necessary to clean the TLC700 food thermometer with probe cleaning wipes (order number 69.1334) to prevent cross-contamination.

When checking the temperature of refrigerators and warming cabinets, it is recommended to use a bottle of alcohol with a pierceable cap (order no. 69.1337). This bottle serves as an aid in measuring the temperature. Measuring the temperature inside the product can lead to contamination. Instead of measuring the temperature inside the product, the temperature inside the alcohol can be measured.
