The standard height of kitchen worktops is 85 centimetres, which is often too low for people of 1.80 metres or taller to work ergonomically. This can lead to bending of the neck and back, which in turn can result in complaints. Raising the kitchen worktop could be a solution, but this is very expensive and not ideal when multiple people of different heights are working on the same worktop.
