The right cartridge

Make sure that a correct cartridge is used (see instructions) and that the cartridge is screwed on properly, so that the carbon dioxide does not escape. Test with a new/different cartridge, if the customer reports that the cartridge does not work.

The Brus carbonator is compatible with a standard 425 g / 60 L CO2 bottle with a threaded cartridge for making sparkling water, thread size M18 x 1.5. The Brus carbonator requires one CO2 cartridge to operate. The Brus is not compatible with the Quick Connect CO2 cartridge type.

Stelton BRUS -bottle

Only use the supplied Stelton BRUS carbon dioxide bottles with the machine.

Flavorings

No liquid other than water should be added prior to carbonation.

Flavorings can be added after carbonation if desired.

MAX line

Do not fill the bottle with more water than up to the max line.

Temperature

The temperature of the water should not be lower than 5 degrees, because carbon dioxide cannot be absorbed by the water. You can carbonate the water and then put the bottle in the refrigerator.

Carbonation levels

Level 1: Spin for 3-4 seconds for softly sparkling water (recommended).

Level 2: Spin for 5-6 seconds for medium carbonation.

Level 3: Spin until you hear a hissing sound for intensely sparkling water.

IMPORTANT: The carbonation levels are based on the CO2 cartridge being filled to an average level. Results will vary with a brand new cartridge or one that is nearly empty.

The machine should automatically release excess carbon dioxide, or excess carbon dioxide can be released by turning the back knob back to the start position.
