FCK by Frédérick Gautier - Serax
Thanks to the combination of water, soil and sand, man invented mortar, cement and concrete. Those elements of our daily lives and our homes are created from raw matter. The “Théières Béton” teapots made of cement-sandstone or earthenware pay tribute to the architecture and materials that have enabled humans to survive. The concrete refers to the rough appearance of these man-made materials and the nostalgia of the moments we have experienced in these spaces with which they are covered. Their design respects the primitive imperfections that are as much formal coincidences as poetic traps. Each teapot is unique. Its microarchitecture is based on elementary shapes: cylinders, columns, cubes, cones, disks.

Designer Frédérick Gautier
After initiating various cultural projects as artistic director for more than 20 years, Frédérick Gautier will study at the École du paysage de Versailles. There he learns to work with modeling and ceramics. Because of his pronounced preference for brutalism, he started working with concrete ceramics. He signs all his creations in this material with FCK. Because he is passionate about foods, he also researches instruments for eating.
